The Seven Springs Town Hall played host to the ever popular Malpass Brothers on Friday, November 20th.  The sold out event was the first of its kind for the town, and its resounding success is a tribute to Wayne County's finest purveyors of traditional Country Music.  Christopher and Taylor Malpass have shared the stage with some of the genre's most respected entertainers, including Merle Haggard, Jack Greene, Charlie Louvin and Marty Stuart.  We do hope they'll be back next year!

The elections held on November 3rd brought little change to the Seven Springs Town Board - all of our candidates were unopposed!  However, we appreciate the efforts of those that did vote and showed their support of the elections process of our great democracy.  Mayor Stephen Potter was elected to a second two-year term, while Commissioners Lisa Cash and Karen Mozingo were re-elected to their first full terms.  Congratulations to all the candidates!

The Seven Springs Halloween Movie Night in the Park was a success, resulting in a total of $100 being raised for the Community Park fund.  The Town wishes to thank all those that donated items for our concessions, as well as their time to participate.

Seven Springs resident and former County Commissioner Atlas Price was recently awarded North Carolina's highest civilian honor, The Order of the Long Leaf Pine.  The Town of Seven Springs wishes to congratulate our beloved "Mr. Atlas."  Price retired from the Wayne County Board of Commisioners in December, 2008, following 20 years of dedicated service.

The Seven Springs Restaurant has recently reopened under the management of Earl and Loretta Beasley.  Their hours of business will remain largely the same, as will the menu, although there are some delectable changes.  Specials include all you can eat flounder on Thursday night for $9.50.  Friday nights feature an 8 oz. ribeye and jumbo shrimp platter for $12.50, while Saturday night's special is pit cooked barbecue for $7.25.  Friday evenings will also see the addition of family karioke at 8:30 p.m. and soon Monday Night Football will grace the big screen in a separate dining area.

The Town of Seven Springs welcomes its newest business!
